TERMS & CONDITIONS RELATING TO YOUR STAY ON BOARD THE NOMA ISLAND

(These Terms and Conditions apply to all ticket purchases shuttle usage and permanence on the Noma Island)

The term “Noma Island” refers to the vessel ‘Noma Island’ and to its owner 356 Island Company Limited.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a ticket, using the shuttle service or entering Noma Island, you agree to be fully bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy and any event-specific instructions communicated via email, website or on-site signage.

2. Nature of the Venue & Safety Disclaimer

Noma Island is a floating marine venue. Guests agree to exercise due care and caution at all times. By attending, you acknowledge the following:

  • Surfaces may be wet, slippery, moving or uneven.
  • The venue may shift due to waves or wake.
  • You enter and participate at your own risk unless caused by our proven negligence.
  • You must comply with all safety instructions from crew and staff at all times.

The Master/Captain has overriding authority for guest safety and may alter, pause or terminate any activity at their discretion. Failure to comply with the instructions from the Master/Captain may result in removal from the vessel without refund.

You are to inform the crew of the Noma Island if you are not able to swim or otherwise have difficulty with swimming

3. Tickets & Entry

Valid tickets must be presented upon arrival.

  • Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable except as herein stated.
  • Lost or damaged tickets may be replaced at our discretion and subject to any charge which may be imposed from time to time in this regard
  • Noma Island reserves the right to deny entry at its sole discretion for any valid reasons including but not limited to ensuring the safety of any passenger or crew.
  • Taxes, port fees and government charges may be added to ticket prices and are payable by the guest/passenger.
  • Increases in operational costs (including fuel) may result in surcharges added to the final ticket price when legally permissible.
4. Shuttle Service (Mandatory Transport to Noma Island)

Marine transport is provided from the designated pick-up point to Noma Island and return transport to the designated drop off point.

  • Passengers acknowledge that transfers between the shuttle vessel and Noma Island involve certain risks, including but not limited to vessel movement, swell, wind, waves, and changing sea conditions.
  • Appropriate footwear must be worn during transfers (high heeled shoes are not to be worn on the shuttle)
  • Passengers agree to comply with all safety instruction indicated by the captain and/or crew during boarding, transfer, and disembarkation.
5. Passenger Responsibilities & Check-In
  • Passengers must arrive at the designated pick-up point no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled boarding time.
  • The shuttle will not wait for late passengers under any circumstances.
  • Missing a scheduled shuttle departure does not entitle the passenger to a refund, rescheduling, transfer, or compensation.
6. Age Restrictions
  • Daytime: Minimum age 14+

Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Noma Island assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the supervision of minors, which remains entirely the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

  • Night Events: Strictly 17+ with valid identification documentation.
  • Alcohol is only served to persons 17+ with valid identification documentation.
7. Weather, Sea Conditions & Operational Changes

Noma Island may modify, relocate, suspend or cancel operations due to weather, sea state, technical issues, maritime instructions or safety concerns.
Passengers are not entitled to a refund in the event of changes to routes, delays, or alterations to pick-up or berthing points
Any operations that are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or other unfores

8. Accessibility & Mobility Limitations

Boarding involves stepping between moving platforms. Passengers are responsible for ensuring they are fit to travel and able to safely board, travel on, and disembark from the shuttle vessel.

  • Noma Island is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Access may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations, balance conditions or pregnancy. Kindly consult with your doctor prior to the event. Any such condition should be brought to the attention of Noma Island prior to embarkation. Crew will try as much as possible to assist such passengers to the best of their ability.
  • Boarding may be denied if guest safety is at risk.
9. Safety Rules Onboard

Stiletto heels are not permitted on board. Guests must wear flat, or block heeled footwear at all times.

Strictly prohibited:

  • Jumping off the vessel
  • Entering restricted areas
  • Climbing railings or structures
  • Throwing objects into the sea
  • Swimming outside designated times, zones or areas designated by the crew.

Noma Island will remain anchored and does not sail during events.

10. Pool & Sea Access

Pool and sea access is permitted only during times indicated on clearly displayed notices and as instructed by the crew accordingly.

  • Any swimming is done at your own risk.
  • No diving or running is permitted
  • Intoxicated guests may be denied entry.
  • Swimming at sea is only allowed in supervised periods

Access to the sea is not permitted after sunset (time varies seasonally) or at any earlier time as may be directed by the Master and/or by on-board signage.

Where sea access is offered, it is permitted only when explicitly opened by the crew and ceases immediately upon instruction, including where conditions such as wind, swell, currents, vessel traffic or mooring operation present risks of safety.

11. Prohibited Items
  • Outside food or drinks
  • Illegal drugs or substances prohibited for consumption in terms of Maltese Law.
  • Weapons of any kind or sharp and/or dangerous objects
  • Animals
  • Inflatable toys
  • Balloons/decorations (unless otherwise authorised)
  • Professional camera or video recording equipment unless authorised
  • Any drones or remote-control flying devices (irrespective of size)

Security and/or crew, reserve the right to search bags and confiscate any prohibited items. Confiscated items may be collected after the event, except for illegal items which will be handed over to the Police or any other competent authority.

12. Behaviour, Conduct & Removal

Zero tolerance for:

  • Violence, harassment, aggression, incorrect sexual conduct or otherwise due to acts of obscenity
  • Dangerous behaviour or intoxication
  • Vandalism

In such instances, a passenger may be asked to leave the Noma Island without refund and with all rights at law duly reserved.

13. Lost Property

Noma Island is not responsible for:

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged belongings
  • Items left onboard
  • Confiscated items

Noma Island will try as much as possible to assist with the location of lost items

14. Photography, Filming & Media
  • Personal photos allowed.
  • Professional equipment requires written approval.
  • No filming in private/restricted areas (including but not limited to toilets/ bathrooms or changing rooms).

Noma Island is equipped with CCTV security systems that operate continuously.

You are aware that the filming and photographing of events on board Noma Island may occur at any given time and that by purchasing your ticket to board the Noma Island, you are consenting for such photographs, recording or data in general to be use for the purposes of the promotion of Noma Island or any of the activities conducted on it.

15. Food, Beverage & Bar Policy
  • Alcohol shall not be served to intoxicated persons or under 17s.
  • Glassware should not be used near the pool, water’s edge or otherwise near slippery surfaces.
  • Food or drinks which are not purchased on board cannot be consumed.
  • Bar service may stop for safety.
16. Insurance
  • Passenger accident insurance is provided for all checked-in guests.
  • Claims require hospital documentation within 24 hours from occurrence of an injury.
  • Insurance does not cover personal possessions or travel.
17. Liability

Noma Island is not liable for:

  • Injuries caused by guest negligence or intoxication
  • Slips due to wet surfaces
  • Lost or damaged belongings
  • Weather-related disruptions
  • Technical/operational delays

Liability is limited to ticket value except where Maltese law requires otherwise.

Any liability under these terms and conditions is limited to EUR 5,000 per occurrence, which limit of liability shall not be subject to any abatement by a Court of law.

18. Cancellation Policies
  • A 10% set-up fee will be deducted for cancellations made more than 72 hours before the reservation date. Should you wish to change the reservation date, we kindly request to be notified at least 72 hours prior to the initial reservation date. In this case no additional charges will apply.
  • Cancellations made between 24 and 72 hours before the reservation date will result in a 50% refund of the fee.
  • No refund will be given for cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation date or for “No show” reservations

If the event is postponed, tickets transfer automatically to the new date

No refunds for:

  • Missed shuttles
  • Artist changes
  • Operational changes
  • Partial event interruptions
19. Ticket Inclusions

Unless otherwise stated, tickets may include:

  • Sunbed/cabana/assigned seating
  • Towel for day use
  • Pool access
  • Sea access (during permitted times)
  • Passenger accident insurance
  • Restaurant access (reservation may be required)
20. Maritime Law & Compliance

Noma Island complies with Maltese maritime safety regulations. Guests must obey any maritime authority (Transport Malta) instructions.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed exclusively by Maltese law. Any disputes shall be referred to the competent court in Malta.
